THERE will be plenty of stories told and laughter shared when Terang Mortlake celebrates its 2003 reserve premiership this weekend.

Twenty years on, the Bloods will gather this Saturday during the club’s round six home game at Ridley Recreation Reserve to celebrate the reserves’ flag-winning 2003 season.

The side, then coached by Nick Moloney (who also coached the 2002 premiership team), came from behind in the last quarter to snatch the flag from South Warrnambool.

The reserves premiership of 2003 came just 12 months after Terang merged with Western Lions to become Terang Mortlake.

In its inaugural season as Terang Mortlake, the club’s senior football side finished second, while its reserves, A reserve and B grade netball sides took home premierships.

Those attending the reunion celebrations will also be able to enjoy what is anticipated will be a close game when the undefeated senior Bloods take on ladder leaders South Warrnambool from 2pm.
