ENROLMENTS for Camperdown’s four-year-old and three-year-old kindergartens are now open.
Both the Baranbali and Kanandah kindergartens are seeking interested families to apply for positions for next year.
Three-year-old kindergarten sessions run for five hours three times a week.
Sessions at the four-year-old kindergarten also run three times a week, each lasting five hours and 15 minutes.
Kindergarten director Bronwyn O’Keeffe said families are welcome to have tours of the kindergartens.
“There are no levies or fundraising as the State Government funds kinder fees,” she said.
“We run a play-based kinder, following the Victorian Early Childhood Framework.
“We are warm, friendly and welcoming and we have an open enrolment policy.
“Children with disabilities are welcome and encouraged to enroll here.”
The kindergartens have a management committee working to improve the facilities available, with the most recent work being a large-scale renovation to create a sheltered outdoor area, larger storeroom and improved bathroom facilities.
Parents are also involved in the decision-making, direction and projects of Baranbali and Kanandah, with a business manager running administration.
Ms O’Keeffe said the kindergartens are always looking to improve.
“We always have a big project each year to try and keep improving and keep up to date with the changes in early childhood,” she said.
“Everyone is welcome to come to kinder here, and we’ll meet any needs that their children might have.”
Enrolments close Friday, August 25, and parents will be notified of their placements at the end of September.
Enrolment forms are available at the two kindergartens, located at 50 Campbell Street, from 9am to 2pm each day.
Alternatively, families can email baranbali.kin@kindergarten.vic.gov.au, or call 5593 1936 to receive an enrolment package.
Forms can then be returned in person, via email, or by posting to PO Box 146 Camperdown, VIC 3260.
