400 for Fraser
KEY forward Ben Fraser kicked his 400th career goal for Kolora Noorat during last weekend’s clash with Timboon.

KEY forward Ben Fraser kicked his 400th career goal for Kolora Noorat during last weekend’s clash with Timboon.
Booting seven for the day, Fraser once again played a pivotal role in his team’s win according to senior coach Nick Bourke.
“Ben is not only a great footballer he’s also a super person who we all have a lot of respect for,” Bourke said.
“We’re fortunate to have him in our side; he previously travelled up from Melbourne each week, and now lives in Geelong, so to kick his 400th career goal with the Power is a great reward for effort."
“He manages his body well and keeps up his training during the week from home and that’s allowed him to continue week in, week out. We value his contribution both on and off the field.”
Building momentum leading into finals, the Power’s senior side continued their good form on Saturday, with a comfortable 119-point win over the Demons.
Final scores were Kolora Noorat 19.12.126 to Timboon 1.3.9.
Along with Fraser’s seven majors, goals also went to Lucas Boyd (3), Samuel Kenna (3), Jason Moloney (2), Ben Reid (2), Fred Beasley and Nicholas Castersen.
Among the best for the Power were Jason Moloney, Ben Fraser, Lucas Boyd, Joel Dillon, Luke McConnell and Ryan O’Connor.
Due to player unavailability, the Demons forfeited the reserves match.
Kolora Noorat will head to Davidson Oval this Saturday to take on Old Collegians in the final round of the home and away season.
Sitting comfortably in fourth, a game clear of Russells Creek, the Power will look to continue their momentum and work on structures heading into finals.
“We’re on the home straight as far as the home and away season goes but it’s just the start of what we hope will be a successful finals campaign,” Bourke said.
“Old Collegians, although sitting in eighth, can play very good footy on their home ground so it should be a great game."
“And they’ll be keen to notch up another win for the season so we certainly won’t be taking them lightly.”
