THE Camperdown Theatre Company (CTC) is turning 75 and members are busily preparing for the May season of the ‘75th Anniversary Spectacular’ to celebrate.
The six show season includes numbers and scenes from the most recent 25 years, including Spamalot, Dimboola, Annie, Seussical, Opportunity Knocks and many more.
CTC president Toby McKenzie is looking forward to the celebrations.
“This is a very significant occasion for our Company and our community so we are pulling out all the stops to make sure our show is the best it can be. It is shaping up very well with many old and new faces within the cast and band all working very hard during rehearsals,” he said.
“We hope to see as many theatre lovers as possible during our season, and we invite all past and present members and families to the reunion afternoon tea as well. Everyone is invited to come along and help us celebrate in May.”
CTC is also searching for any memorabilia for the foyer display. Anyone who has any is encouraged to contact publicityctc@gmail.com.
The 75th Anniversary Spectacular will play at the Theatre Royal on May 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 at 7.30pm, with a 1pm matinee on May 20. The reunion for past and present members will be held at 4pm on May 20.
