STUDENTS and staff at Mercy Regional College celebrated Mercy Feast Day recently.
As the school celebrates 50 years, the day included a Mass, an Alumni guest speakers’ panel and a Diversity Dash colour run in the afternoon, which saw a group of students and staff run an obstacle course around the oval while being sprayed with colour.
Principal Sharon Gillett said the 50th anniversary of secondary education at Mercy Regional College was a remarkable milestone.”
“We honoured and recognised the dedication, resilience and spirit of all those who have contributed to the establishment and sustenance of our school,” she said.
“It was fantastic to welcome many past principals, parish priests and alumni to celebrate with us and our students enjoyed a wonderful day filled with activities.”
Mercy Regional College will continue to celebrate its 50th anniversary later in the year with a Jubilee Day planned for Saturday, November 25.
