THE Cobden Golf Club hosted its annual Melbourne Cup Day.

THE Cobden Golf Club hosted its annual Melbourne Cup Day.
It may have been raining outside but the atmosphere inside the clubrooms was warm and hospitable.
The Bistro on Neylon provided more than 100 patrons with lunch on the date
The patrons who attended certainly dressed for the occasion and the judges found it very difficult to choose the best-dressed categories.
Ultimately, the Lady of the Day was won by Margaret Sinnott, the Best Hat or Fascinator of the Day went to Margaret Walsh and the Gentleman of the Day was Craig Dwyer.
Orgnaisers thanked the sponsors who donated raffle prizes.
First prize went to Lyn and Peter Harris who took home an air-fryer, second prize was a $50 voucher (donated by Bistro on Neylon) won by Elaine Waterfall, third and fourth prizes were baskets of goodies (donated by Laurel Davis) and won by Leanne Pillar and Chloe Davis.
