PETER Taylor has achieved every golfers dream – a hole-in-one on the Terang golf course.

Taylor celebrated a hole-in-one on the par three, eighth hole last Saturday.

With the tee markers set back to the tip of the tee box (170 metres), Taylor flushed his tee shot for the perfect score.

He also went on to win thee day with a nett score of 65.

Forty-five players contested the November stroke monthly medal on Saturday.

A grade was won by Scott Coverdale (11) 71/82 on countback from Marion Venn (2) 75/73.

B grade went to Peter Taylor (33) 65-98 from Paddy Scanlon (26) 70-96.

Down the line: Harvey Roberts (21) 70-91, Kerry Clarke (27) 70-97, Darcy Hutchins (25) 72-97, Phil Beasley (scratch) 73-73, Fred Beasley (-3)74-71 and Nick Kenna (12) 74-86.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Sharee Scanlon, 6th Toni Harrison, 8th Peter Taylor and 11th Trevor Beasley.

The putting competition was won by Scott Coverdale with 22 putts.

The Geoff Kenna knockout match play final saw Luke Tebble defeat George Beasley 2-1 to win the tournament.

Next week will be stableford round two of the Peter Kenna Trophy (results of round one will be posted on the golf office window).

Friday night’s twilight will be the front nine holes.
