Absalom wins at Cobden
SEVENTEEN players contested round two of the Barrett Shield at Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
D. Absalom won the stableford round with 39 points, followed by C. Sargeant on 35 and J.Walker 5 on countback.
Nearest the pins: 4th D. Bath, 7th C. Dobson, 10th A. Giles and closest second on the 14th was C. Sargeant.
Balls down the line went to J. Walker, C. Dobson, A. Holster and D. Bath.
Barrett Shield leaders after round two are D. Absalom 72, C. Sargeant 68 and A. Holster 68.
Friday, September 27 is round three of the Barrett Shield and Saturday will be a 14-hole red tee day – 9am for a 9.30am shotgun start.
All welcome, no handicap needed.
Last Wednesday 13 players competed in a stableford competition.
The winner was Dave Stewart on 34 points, followed by Sam Rix on 32.
Sherine Healey won a ball down the line with 29 points.
