BUMPER crowds are expected to descend to the foot of the mount when the gates open for the 2023 Noorat Show.
This year’s show will begin bright and early from 8.30am on Saturday, November 18 at the Noorat Recreation Reserve.
Warm weather is expected to draw a large crowd after last year’s event endured 28mm of rain.
Noorat Show president Monica Heffernan said all involved were excited as anticipation for the beloved event builds.
“We’re feeling fantastic in the lead up to this year’s show,” she said.
“We can’t wait for the day.
“Rain, hail or shine we will be there for the 2023 Noorat Show, but hopefully this year the sun is shining and we don’t get torrential rain.
“As farmers we never say no to rain, but we want the day to go ahead and love knowing how many people support us no matter what.”
Ms Heffernan said early indications were pointing to a blockbuster show.
“I think people are getting back in to the swing of things, especially with this being our second show back after COVID-19.
“We’re streamlining our process and getting everything in place, but I think we’re looking good for this year.”
The day boasts a wide range of events, trade stalls, music and entertainment, livestock competitions, rides and attractions and food to satisfy any tastebuds.
“A big one for us this year is the woodchop will be returning,” Ms Heffernan said.
“The woodchop returning in 2023 includes the tree climb, which is a spectacular event to watch.
“We will have our usual yard dogs, livestock and home crafts, and the sideshow alley will be in full swing.
“The children’s entertainment will see the Mik Maks returning, and Good Faces 4 Radio.”
Ms Heffernan said the Nibble and Nosh Food Expo would be a great opportunity to support local producers.
“There will be a range of food vans to cater to everyone’s needs, including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan – and there’s plenty of meat options for the carnivores,” she said.
“There’s a lot of food and while you can bring a picnic, my advice is to come and support the local businesses which will be at the event.”
Online ticketing is the easiest and quickest way to get in to the event with streamlined entry for pre-purchased tickets, however tickets will be available on the day.
