All things vintage on show at the rally park
THE South Western District Restoration Group vintage rally showed off some of the nation’s history over the weekend.

Displays of vehicles, machinery and more awaited those who braved the hot weather to attend the 48th annual rally.
Group vice president Brian O’Shannessy said the hot weather impacted the weekend, with the total fire ban on Saturday meaning a number of displays could not run.
“Saturday was a bit of a downer with the total fire ban,” he said.
“We still had a good turn-up for the auction which was very pleasing.
“We had a fair few Saturday, but the weather was very hot.
“On Sunday we were able to have displays outside.”
Mr O’Shannessy said all things considered, the weekend was still a success.
“It was still pretty good,” he said.
“Everyone that was there enjoyed themselves.”
Mr O’Shannessy thanked all those involved in helping ensure the success of the annual event.
“Thank you to all the exhibitors who took the time to turn up,” he said.
“Thank you to everyone in the commuted and those who helped with the event.
“Also, thanks to the Cobden CFA who gave us guidance on what we could do with the total fire ban.”
