Anderson to lead Tornadoes

HANNAH Anderson has been re-appointed coach of the Terang Tornadoes CBL side.
Twenty-year-old Hannah, of Cobden, said she was thrilled to once again be leading the women’s side in season 2022-23.
“Last season was abit of a stop-start one; COVID meant the season was shortened but hopefully that won’t happen again this year,” Hannah said.
“We had a very young team last year and I think we only won a couple of games but it was a great learning curve for us all.”
While Hannah is hopeful of retaining her full playing list from last season, she’s also looking forward to possibly having a few new inclusions in the side.
“I was the oldest in our team last summer and I think the youngest was only about 14. We lacked abit of on-court experience but that will come,” she said.
With the competition season set to start around October, Hannah said she was hoping to start regular training sessions within the next week or so.
While her main focus will be on the women’s side, Hannah said the Tornadoes were also on the hunt for more players for the women’s under 18 side.
