THE Theatre Royal was filled with festive cheer on Sunday night as the Camperdown Theatre Company and Lakes and Craters Band presented the 73rd Camperdown Carols by Candlelight.

Around 350 people enjoyed the free event, which featured 12 sing-along community carols, nine guest artists and a visit from Santa.

Carols organiser Toby McKenzie said he was pleased to see so many attend the community event.

“It was a great family night and we are very happy with how it went,” he said.

“Lots of people put in considerable time and it was well worth the effort.

“Many people have since expressed how much they enjoyed the night and it is always great to hear feedback.

“I would like to thank all our performers, crew, sponsors and audience for supporting Carols in 2022.”

The next project for the Camperdown Theatre Company is a 75th Anniversary celebration in May 2023.

The Lakes and Craters Band can next be heard this Sunday evening at Cobden Carols.
