HEYTESBURY Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway has another action-packed program this Saturday night.

HEYTESBURY Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway has another action-packed program this Saturday night.
The program will include the 46th edition of the Trevor Podger Memorial for Super Rods, along with the 16th running of the Front Row Challenge for wingless sprints.
Spectators will also be treated to thehotly-contested round five of the Dirt X Industries VSC sports sedan power series and the fifth round of the Dutton One Southern speedcar tour.
Last year it was Hamilton’s Dane Court who proved too good with a hard-fought victory in the annual Trevor Podger Memorial race, defeating previous winners Jamie May and Shaun Walsh.
This year’s Front Row Challenge has attracted 45 cars and 2022 winner Chris Temby won’t be there to defend as he races with the All Star sprintcar series.
Some past winners who have entered include three-times winner Luke Weel along with Mick Rigby and James and Sam Wren who all perform well at Simpson Speedway.
Others who are likely to be in the mix include Matthew Symons, Chris Halesworth and the Warren brothers Brad and Jake, while the popular brother and sister team of Carly and Blake Walsh and the father-daughter duo of Ray and Bianca Klemm will all be on their home track.
At Avalon Raceway last weekend, Justin McMinn took out the Southern Speedcar Tour from current series leader Nick Parker and Ashley Booker.
The VSC sports sedans put on a brilliant display of racing last year at Simpson and there will be 33 cars all vying for the $2000 first prize this Saturday.
Gates open at 4pm with cars on track at 5.30pm.
