Another challenge conquered
EIGHTY-FOUR people answered the call of the mountains last Sunday as they successfully completed the Four Peaks Challenge.

Event organiser John Fallon said many of this year’s challengers were repeat walkers from previous years, with some having been to all four previous challenges.
“Great views, good challenge and a wonderful sense of achievement at the end,” he said.
“You also get a greater understanding of the Victorian Volcanic Plain and its eruption points.”
Of the 84 that summited Mounts Leura, Sugarloaf, Elephant and Noorat, 70 had come from outside the area and as far away as Bendigo, Ballarat, Melbourne and Canberra.
