Art project receives funding
A NEW art project organised by Camperdown and District Community House has received funding through the 17th round of the FRRR Strengthening Small but Vital grants program.

A NEW art project organised by Camperdown and District Community House has received funding through the 17th round of the FRRR Strengthening Small but Vital grants program.
The project, set to be undertaken by Terang-based artist Michelle Shearer, will include a series of workshops to involve the community in the process.
The workshops will involve members of the community creating their own individual art tiles, which will be used to pave under the ‘Sharing Tree’ in the Camperdown and District Community Garden Hub.
The project, ‘Public Art and Spaces Bringing People Together’, will share art and stories with the community and create a space for the Community House’s Swap and Share stall.
Community House coordinator Emily Mercer said the workshops are expected to begin in early to mid-2024, with the end goal of the tiles being installed by the end of 2024.
“We will be providing more details about this project and the community workshops in due course, so watch this space,” she said.
“Thank you to FRRR for making this project possible.”
