CAMPERDOWN Little Athletics has resumed after the Christmas break, with the second of its championship nights last week.
A warm night attracted about 90 athletes, with some trying hurdles for the first time.
It was great to see athletes return to the oval along with a great number of parents helping with all events – especially the hurdles which are the most time consuming of the night.
Although it was a long night, the patience, friendliness and sportsmanship shown by all groups was a credit to everyone.
There were some great performances on track.

The Western Country region track and field carnival will be held at Llanberris Oval in Ballarat next week.
This is a special celebration weekend, with the region celebrating 50 years.
Camperdown will send a team of 20 athletes who will get to make new friends, aim for personal best times/distances and most of all will have the opportunity to experience the fun and competition
that the regional carnival weekend offers.
With only three weeks left in the season, the club hopes to see all athletes back at the track (Camperdown College sports precinct oval) this Friday at 4.15pm for a 4.30pm start.
