THE Camperdown Theatre Company’s latest season ‘Away’ has been deemed a success, with more than 300 patrons attending across the season.

The Australian play, written by Michael Gow, featured a cast of 15 and was the first drama by the Camperdown Theatre Company in over a decade.

Director Graeme Bennett was pleased with the end result.

“We were thrilled with the audiences and had wonderful support from the community,” he said

“We have had some great feedback regarding this production.

“I directed the same play here 30 years ago, and some cast members who were in the original version came along and enjoyed watching this performance which was also great to see.”

The next project for Camperdown Theatre Company is Camperdown Carols by Candlelight, in collaboration with the Lakes and Craters Band.

The free community event is set for Sunday, December 11, 7.30pm at the Theatre Royal.
