Baker leads club championship
AFTER three rounds, Clinton Baker is leading the club championship at Mortlake Golf Club.
After the third round, played last Sunday, Baker was at the top of the table with 77-90-84 (251), followed by Jack Lehmann 84-83-87 (254).
In B grade Les Dawson is leading with 89-94-88 (271) closely followed by Richard van Diemen on 90-88-94 (272).
Last Sunday’s stroke event was won by Peter Palmer on 11-83-72, with Dougal Ranken the runner-up on 17-91-74.
Nearest the pins: 3/12 Clint Baker, 6/15 Richard van Diemen, 9/18 Dougal Ranken.
Balls down the line went to Clint Baker, Les Dawson and Dougal Ranken.
Saturday’s stroke event was won by Richard van Diemen 14-88-74, followed by Jack Lehmann 8-83-75 on countback from Hamish Weatherly 3-78-75.
Nearest the pins: 3/12 Hamish Weatherly, 6/15 Jack Lehmann, 9/18 Shane Slater.
Balls down the line: Hamish Weatherly, Craig Fowler and Shane Slater.
