THERE are just weeks left until the draw of Mercy Regional College (MRC) Car Raffle 2022 and the college community is abuzz with anticipation.
THERE are just weeks left until the draw of Mercy Regional College (MRC) Car Raffle 2022 and the college community is abuzz with anticipation.
The names of the lucky winners will be drawn at the MRC’s Thanksgiving Mass at 2.15pm on November 30.
The raffle has 10 prizes on offer, including a Renault Captur worth nearly $35,000, a $2000 Camperdown Betta Home Living voucher, an Apple watch, a $440 Timboon Tiny Homes voucher, and an array of other vouchers fromlocal businesses.
The main prize – a flashy Renault Captur – has been attracting the eye of the public in the streets of Camperdown, Terang, Cobden and Port Campbell throughout the campaign.
MRC business manager Judith Murfitt said along with all the excitement the annual car raffle brings into the community, it is also the biggest fundraiser at the college.
“It has been a significant contributor to the funding of essential learning resources, facilities, and equipment for our students, including a 12-seat minibus in 2021 and interactive furniture in 2022,” she said.
“The funds from this year’s raffle will be used to assist our VCAL students with the purchase of a mobile coffee trailer for their business enterprise ‘Grind & Grow’.
“We are grateful to our wonderful sponsors, families, and the wider community for their continuous support of our raffle.”
