Big field for tournament
OVER four days of competition, Mortlake Golf Club’s annual tournament attracted 226 players.

The event saw competitors travel from clubs as far away as Royal Melbourne, Baron Heads, Heywood, Hamilton and Chalambar.

Wednesday, February 14, mens’ 4BBB stableford (88 players) – winners Andy Lamont and Ben Boers (Mortlake) 44 points; runners-up Bruce Cottrill and Laurie Wordswort (Barwon Heads) 43 on countback; third Les Dawson and Andy Lamont (Mortlake) 43 on countback; fourth Michael Palmer and Geoff Tamblyn (Barwon Heads) 43.
