Big win for Tigers
WOORNDOO Mortlake’s senior footballers were big winners over Great Western last weekend.
Playing in front of a home crowd last Saturday, the Tigers piled on 17.16.118 to defeat Great Western by 89-points, 3.11.29.
Making full use of the ball in their forward 50 and applying strong defensive pressure all over the ground resulted in plenty of scoring opportunities for the home side.

After four rounds, Penshurst currently leads the board, followed by Wickliffe Lake Bolac who are also yet to be defeated.
The Ararat Eagles, on equal points but percentage below the Demons, currently round out the top five.
Last weekend’s match gave the Tigers an opportunity to show their depth.
Among the best players for the side were Tom Gough, Tyson Hogan, Matthew Pemberton, Damien Pemberton and Mac Shaw.
Sam Jasper booted four for the home side while Wayne Loader added three and Matthew Pemberton two.
Xavier Glossop, Tyson Hogan and Damien Pemberton each contributed a goal.
