Biggest tea beats previous year

CUPPA’S, laughs and tasty treats were in ample supply at Camperdown’s Biggest Morning Tea.

Revamp was busy last Wednesday afternoon as locals called in for a cuppa and a cake at Camperdown’s Biggest Morning Tea event.

The event, an initiative of the Camperdown Business Network, was held last Wednesday afternoon.

Event co-cordinator Michelle Elijah said she was pleased with how the popular annual fundraiser went.

“A big thank you to all who supported our Biggest Morning Tea,” she said.

“It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by many.

“There were lots of laughs had and it was a relaxed atmosphere in the Revamp salon.”

As well as afternoon tea, attendees took part in a number of games and raffles on the day.

Ms Elijah said the event had raised $2166.50 beating last year’s total.

“Tarna and I appreciated all the people who made something yummy for us to share, helped set up, pack up and wash up,” she said.

“To those who bought a raffle ticket or picked up a pack of yo-yo’s, cookies and Anzac’s thank you.

“To all the participating stores who collected small change in the jars and to those who donated on our Facebook page we thank you.”

Ms Elijah said takeaway packs of homemade goodies were also well received.

Raffle winners were:

  • $5 raffle – Gary Brian and Sarah Dennis;

  • $2 raffle – Sue Delwig and Rosemarie;

  • $1 raffle Geoff Loving;

  • Cups and saucers game – Andrea Hately’

  • Tea-rivia – Kylie Warren; and

  • Guess the number of teapots – Marg Clissold.
