Birds leave Chatsworth

CAMPERDOWN Homing Club held a race from Chatsworth last Saturday.

CAMPERDOWN Homing Club held a race from Chatsworth last Saturday.

The birds raced the 65 kilometres in fine weather with a slight northerly wind.

Mark Kavanagh took out first place and by doing so won the prize, donated by former Camperdown flyer Andrew O'Flynn.

Results went as follows:

1st Mark Kavanagh of Jancourt East (velocity 924.05 m/mins).

2nd G and S McKenzie of Camperdown(velocity 893. 61m/mins).

3rd Jamie Shepherd of Leslie Manor (velocity 264.01 m/mins).

A thank you to Jamie and Terry for transporting the pigeons to Chatsworth.

This weekend there is a race from Fowlers Gap in NSW.
