CAMPERDOWN Homing Club raced birds from Broken Hill last weekend.

The birds covered a distance of 700 kilometres.

This race was a special race supported by 'Meekri Farm' (Robert and Loise Manifold) who made a generous donation to the club earlier this year.

Graeme McKenzie won this race and also took out first prize in the Open Combine competition comprising clubs from Colac, Warrnambool and Portland.

Graeme’s winning pigeon flew the distance in 12 hours, 37 mins and 29 seconds (velocity 927.62 m/mins).

The final race for the season will be held next Saturday from Maroona and basketing will be on Friday at 5pm.
