IN what became a bittersweet first win for the season – on the last round – Timboon Demons took the four points over Allansford last weekend.

While the Demons were thrilled to have notched up their one and only win, coach Marcus Hickey said the result came at the unfortunate expense of an injury to an opposition player; resulting in the game being called off at three-quarter time.

“It was certainly bittersweet but in saying that I was also very proud of the boys for how well they had played up until that point (of injury)."

“We put together some great passages of play and everyone played their roles."
