REIGNING under 18 premiers South Warrnambool made it two from two with a 48-point grand final win over the Bloods last Sunday.

The Roosters’ under 18 side dominated Reid Oval on the weekend, restricting the Bloods to 1.2.8 for the afternoon while booting home 8.8.56.

Mortlake’s Annabelle Glossop was the Bloods only goal scorer for the day, finding the gap in the third term, while team-mates Sophie Curran, Tayla Bell, Limariyah Johnson, Maddison Newell and Maddison Wallace were named among the best.

The Bloods worked hard throughout season 2023 to finish third on the Western Victoria Female Football League ladder, equal on points but just percentage behind the second-placed Horsham Demons.

The Bloods earned their spot on grand final day after defeating the Demons by a creditable 20-points in the previous weekend’s preliminary final.
