Bloods rewarded

TERANG Mortlake’s dedicated volunteers have been recognised at the club’s annual senior and junior presentations.

The Bloods recently held their annual awards afternoon\evening where the club’s dedicated band of volunteers were honoured and vote counts held for both football and netball.

A highlight of the presentations was the awarding of the 2024 Barry Robertson Club Person of the Year Award (presented by Judi Robertson).

This was received by Todd Robertson in recognition of his tireless behind-the-scenes work to ensure the Mortlake facilities are looking their best for game day.

The Maureen Giblin Blood of the Year Award was presented to Michelle Conheady.

Michelle has been the club’s netball coordinator for four years and works tireless to ensure the netball department, and game day, runs smoothly.

Life membership were awarded to Thomas Conheady and Kym Grundy.

Tom has been involved with the club for many years and held a number of roles including past player, coach and committee member.

Kym has twice held the role of netball coordinator and has coached almost every grade, including both Open and Division 1 this season.

The Junior Blood of the Year Award was presented to David and Joanne Roberts who have been an integral part of the club’s junior program for many years.

Open

Division One

Best and fairest joint winners Jess Crawley and Claudia Lee, runner-up Ellen Rose Lee, leadership award Claudia Lee and Bloods Award Sarah Davis.

Division Two

Best and fairest Holly Fowler, joint runner-up Ash Hunger and Lizzie Justin, Bloods Award Amy Conheady.

Division Three

Best and fairest Ava Nolan, runner-up Tess McKenzie and Bloods Award Zoe Ritchie.

17 and Under

Best and fairest Lara Clarke, runner-up Holly Jones and Bloods Award Sema Meric.

15 and Under

Best and fairest Tayla Bell and Pippa Bar, runner-up Madelyn Clarke and Bloods Award McKenzie Dillon.

15 and Under Reserves

Best and fairest Lily Guthrie, runner-up Hope Kenna and Bloods Award Sadie Baker.

13 and Under

Best and fairest Zoe Hill, runner-up Poppy Moloney and Bloods Award Chloe Clifford.

13 and Under Reserves

Best and fairest Imogen Barr, runner-up Matilda Conheady and Bloods Award Daisy Dillon.
