Bloods slip to third
TERANG Mortlake has slipped to third on the Hampden League ladder following a 33-point loss to Cobden last weekend.

The fifth-placed Bombers got an early jump on the home side, scoring 2.2 to 1.5 in the first term before extending their lead to 22 points by the half-time break.
The third quarter proved a tough battle for the Bloods, who could only manage two majors for the term, while the visitors piled on another three goals one.
The final term was another low scoring affair in wintry conditions, with the home side finishing the day on 4.8.32 while the Bombers took the win on 10.5.65.
Best for the Bloods were Darcy Hobbs, Hugh Porter, Isaac Kenna, Ryley Hutchins, Harvey Roberts and Jack Lehmann.
Thomas Justin, Will Kain, Isaac Kenna and Lewis Taylor kicked one each for the side.
Terang Mortlake’s reserve side, currently holding on to fifth spot and a game clear of the Hamilton Kangaroos, also struggled against the Bombers, going down by 27-points, 1.2.8 to 4.11.35.
Will Berryman, Tyson Densley, Tyler Vickers, Henry Roberts, Will Layley and Josh Brown were best for the Bloods.
Vickers was the team’s only goal kicker for the day.
Terang Mortlake’s under 18.5 side is still searching for win number four of the season after going down to the Bombers by 61 points last weekend, 0.1.1 to 8.14.62.
Best for the Bloods were Tyler Vickers, Mitchell Hughes, Damian Goddard, Will Layley, Tyson Royal and Lachlan McNicol.
The Bloods had mixed results on the netball courts last weekend:
Open – Terang Mortlake lost to Cobden 41-52. Best for the Bloods: Alice Kain, Eboni Knights and Sharni Moloney.
Division one – Terang Mortlake lost to Cobden 28-45. Best players: Emma Lucas, Sarah Davis and Mahni Wright.
Division two – Terang Mortlake defeated Cobden 53-28. Best players: Zoe Barker, Lily Lourey and Maddison Chesshire.
Division three – Terang Mortlake defeated Cobden 43-19. Best for the Bloods: Jacque Dickson, Holly Fowler and Meagan Carlin.
17 and under – Terang Mortlake defeated Cobden 39-16. Best: Alice Suhan, Leah Dickson and Anna Dickson.
17 and under reserves – Terang Mortlake lost to Cobden 10-40. Best for the Bloods: Mayci Dwyer and Molly Goddard.
15 and under – Terang Mortlake defeated Cobden 33-13. Best players: Pippa Barr and Lara Clarke.
13 and under – Terang Mortlake defeated Cobden 29-5. Best: Madelyn Clarke and McKenzie Dillon.
