“I think it went very well considering how warm it was,” she said.
“We had about 1600 people through the gate which was pleasing.
“We were pleased about how it all went. It was a very good show.”
Mrs Holmes said feedback had been positive for this year’s show.
“Feedback we had was the entertainment was really good, particularly Freestyle Now BMX Stunts and Nicholas the Ridiculous,” she said.
“We had a lot of comments about how considerate we were about the comfort of animals.”
While horses and sheep numbers were down on the day, cattle entries were slightly up.
A mystery show bag was also well supported, with families making the most of the value for money.
Mrs Holmes thanked those who supported the annual event which has become a mainstay on calendars across the district.
“Thank you to all our sponsors, everyone for coming and even the crowd for being a really good crowd,” she said.
“It was a really good day overall.”
