A SEASON high knock of 97 runs from Gus Bourke wasn’t enough to get Noorat across the line in division one last weekend.

Bourke’s impressive knock of 97 was a highlight of Noorat’s 6/248 tally, falling two wickets short of Bookaar 8/249.

Bourke’s 97 from 92 balls included 11 boundaries.

He was well supported at the crease by team-mates Stephen O’Connor and David Conheady, who both managed 33 runs.

Best of the bowlers for Noorat were Tom Clissold 2/39 from nine overs and Isaac Kenna 2/38 off 10.

Noorat goes into the Christmas break sitting on the bottom of the South West ladder and in search of its first division one win.

Division three enjoyed a 15-run victory over Ecklin and now sits third on the ladder.

Last Saturday saw Jacob Lee 31 and Andrew Battistello 20 top score for Noorat in its 147 to 9/132 victory.

Best of the bowlers were Simon Densley 3/18 and Toby Harris 2/30.
