The team took on Camperdown Golf in the mid-week final under the dome at Colac last Tuesday and brought home a premiership.

Two Derrinallum rinks went into the lunch break down on the score card but came out to claw their way back to a very close score.

With the final two ends left to the play, the overall score was 72-all.

With one rink left to play two ends, the final result rested with both teams - Derrinallum drew a shot to take the second last end and the final end saw Derrinallum again take the shot, resulting in a two-shot win to Derrinallum.

The club is extremely proud of all its players.

It had been 77 years since a win in the mid-week ladies and mixed teams’ competition.

This week was one of the greatest team comebacks many have seen – bringing the premiership shield back to Derrinallum.

The club thanks all players who contributed to the success of the team over the playing year and on the day, including the emergencies and supporters who cheered the teams on.

The Derrinallum teams celebrated back at the club late into the night, knowing they had rewritten the history of their small club.
