Bowls day success
THE Cobden Probus Club annual “Bowls Day” was held recently and a great day with plenty of laughter for all who attended.
The winners for the day were Pam Savage- Ron Hill - and Sue Gass, followed by an even closer second and third by the nearest of margins.
Runners up were Evelyn Grayland, Deliah Robertson, Margaret Matthews and Joyce Roberts.
A very close Third to Denise Sharp, Denise Robertson, Glenice Roberts and Joy Hill, with special mention to Jean English who was unable to compete after lunch as she had an appointment.
And not to forget our Wooden Spooners- Fred Wheaton, Mary Holloway and Merv Gass.
All enjoyed a morning tea and our “Pie and Chips” proved very popular, thanks to the kitchen “Girls”.
President Mary thanked everyone who attended the day and hoped they enjoyed the friendship and fellowship that these sort of days provide.
President Mary was delighted to present the winning teams with their prizes.
A great day with friendly banter and plenty of laughter even if more bowls went off the mat than stayed on.
