PHYSICAL education classes at St Patrick’s Primary have taken on a new level of ‘fun’ thanks to a group of local secondary students.
Students from nearby Mercy Regional College have spent the past semester running some PE classes at St Patrick’s as part of their Sport and Recreation course.
According to St Patrick’s teacher, Matt Harkin, the visits have proved a big hit among the younger students.
“We (at St Pat’s) have been lucky enough to have some of the MRC students running classes here which has been of great benefit to all involved,” Mr Harkin said.
“I’m sure our students have enjoyed listening to younger, enthusiastic voices and have also learnt a lot while having fun.”
