POMBORNEIT’S division one cricketers are back on the winners’ list after a 101-run win over Woorndoo last weekend.

Led by Tharaka Sendanayake’s second century for the club, Pomborneit posted 239 from its 50 overs.

Sendanayake's knock of 126 came from 120 balls and included 16 fours and a six.

Other main contributors included opener Dave Murphy with 33 from 52 balls, and Sam Darcy, who made a career best 41 from 33 balls.

This included two fours and two sixes in a 103-run eighth wicket partnership with Sendanayake.

Darcy backed up his batting effort with 3/15 from seven overs with the new ball; his brother Tom Darcy ripping through the home team's middle order to claim 4/29 as the Bulls bowled Woorndoo out for 138 in the 41st over.

The division two Bulls travelled to Timboon to face ladder leaders Heytesbury.

The team put in a superb bowling and fielding effort to bowl the home team out for 56.

Stephen Walters was supremely accurate in his eight over spell with the new ball, bowling 43 dot balls on his way to 5/13 - his sixth five wicket haul in senior cricket.

Opener Charlie Voutier, with 30 not out, and Simon Tolland with 15 not out led Pomborneit to an eight wicket win.

In division three Pomborneit played host to Simpson at the Pomborneit Recreation Reserve as the Bulls celebrated the 200th senior appearance for the club of Mark McInnes.

The visitors smashed 6/268 from their 40 overs, with Jimbo Reynolds and Tayla Reynolds taking two wickets apiece.

In reply Pomborneit could only muster 98, with under 16 players Ben Whytcross (20) and Brady Bernoth (15 not out) the main contributors.

With no senior women's cricket on the weekend, junior results saw the under 17 girls enjoy a nine wicket win over Apollo Bay at Pomborneit on Sunday.

Skipper Ella Sadler retired on 31.

In the under 13 girls on Sunday, Pomborneit gold had the bye while Pomborneit maroon had a 28-run win over Tomahawk Creek at Colac's CMTP Oval.

In the under 13 boys, Pomborneit maroon won its qualifying final against Simpson at Pomborneit on Friday - Marc Van Es with 23 and George Sadler with 22 making scores of 20 retired, while Miller Murphy took 3/6.

The Pomborneit gold under 13 boys finished their season with a win at Woorndoo in a consolation final on Monday night - Ollie West, Max Rees and Jonty Raven all making scores of 20 retired.

The under 14 boys had a 29 run win over West Warrion on Friday night at Colac's Western Oval, with Levi Coote starring with 31 retired from his 24 balls.
