Bulls continue good form

COORIEMUNGLE Bulls continued their hot run of form in round four of Corangamite volleyball.

By wd-news

The Bulls enjoyed a come-from-behind win over Pirates and a hard-fought victory over Stallions.

The Bulls now hold a clear eight-point margin over second team Poachers who suffered their second defeat, this time at the hands of NOBTS.

NOBTS are starting to look formidable again with some of their more experienced players back on the court.

Number one spiker Bailey Clarke is capable of doing a lot of damage at the net if the ball is within reach.

Bottom teams Slugs and Ballbusters, who are both showing steady improvement, managed draws against better opposition.

Their next clash will indicate which team is likely to climb the ladder quicker.

The highlight of round five will be the Bulls-Poachers match.

If the Bulls re-assert their dominance, they will be the team to beat in the autumn finals.

Round four results:

Pirates drew Ballbusters 2-2, NOBTS def Poachers 2-1, Bulls def Pirates 2-1, Slugs drew Stallions 2-2, NOBTS def Ballbusters 4-0, Poachers def Slugs 2-1 and Bulls def Stallions 2-1.

Ladder after May 14 – Bulls 32, Poachers 24, NOBTS 18, Pirates 12, Stallions 12, Slugs 8 and Ballbusters 6.
