Bulls remain undefeated
AFTER six matches, the Cooriemungle Bulls remain undefeated and sit on top of the Corangamite Volleyball ladder.
Many are now left pondering, who can beat the Bulls this season?
Another two convincing wins against Slugs and NOBTS in round three sees the Bulls a game clear of Poachers and with a very strong percentage.
Poachers are also looking formidable. Their round five clash with the Bulls on May 21 will be ‘one for the ages’ with the winner moving to favouritism for the A grade premiership.
Pirates, Stallions and NOBTS currently form a mid-table cluster, all with two wins and a draw, while Slugs, although second last on the ladder, will certainly impose themselves on the competition in the coming rounds.
Slugs have some power-hitters who are not far away from playing at the peak of the powers.
Cellar-dwellers Ballbusters are improving steadily and will crack another win soon.
Results from round three were:
Pirates drew with Stallions 1-1, Poachers def Pirates 3-0, Bulls def Slugs 4-0, Slugs def Ballbusters 4-0, NOBTS def Stallions 3-0, Poachers def Ballbusters 4-0 and Bulls def NOBTS 3-0.
Ladder: Bulls 24, Poachers 20, Pirates 10, Stallions 10, NOBTS 10, Slugs 6, Ballbusters 4.
