Bulls still undefeated

BULLS have continued their unbeaten streak in Corangamite volleyball, with convincing wins over both Poachers and Ballbusters.

Starved of premiership success in recent seasons, they appear determined to make a big impact in the autumn finals on June 25.

New team Pirates were fortunate to play two depleted teams in round two and now find themselves third on the ladder – with a percentage lead over Stallions.

With a mix of older and younger players, Pirates have the potential to figure in A grade finals.

NOBTS are struggling with availability of regular players in the early part of the season so they might need to wait for some winter wins.

Slugs and Ballbusters have introduced several new players to the sport which means they will need to be patient before expecting consistency and wins.

Round two results were as follows:

Pirates def Slugs 3-0.

Poachers def Stallions 3-0.

Bulls def Ballbusters 4-0.

NOBTS drew with Slugs 1-1.

Bulls defeated Poachers 2-1.

Stallions defeated Ballbusters 3-2.

Pirates defeated NOBTS 3-0.

The ladder after April 30 – Bulls 16, Poachers 12, Pirates 8, Stallions 8, NOBTS 6, Ballbusters 4, Slugs 2.
