Business takes out two awards

TIMBOON business Schulz Organic Dairy was awarded the $5000 Alla Wolf-Tasker Good Food Matters Scholarship at the recent delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards.
The Alla Wolf-Tasker Good Food Matters Scholarship was established in 2017 by leading food identity and owner of Daylesford’s Lake House, Alla Wolf-Tasker, and provides support to producers who champion sustainable good food practices.
Schulz Organic Dairy owner Simon Schulz said he would use the scholarship to further support the development of Schulz’s innovative Milk In Glass product.
He said travel permitting, he would like to visit like-minded dairies and other producers who are packaging in glass, around both Australia and New Zealand, to exchange learnings and insights.
“This scholarship will help take us to the next level,” Mr Schulz said.
“We’re excited for the future.”
The scholarship comes alongside Schulz Organic Dairy’s additional recognition with a 2021 Gold delicious. Produce Awards Medal for their Organic Full Cream Milk.
Mr Schulz said he was “pretty stoked” with the accolades.
“It’s a testament to my team and my cows and the quality products they’re producing,”he said.
“It’s good to be acknowledged by our peers in the industry.”
Ms Wolf-Tasker congratulated the business on the scholarship.
“Small family farms have had to battle for survival in recent times, and those building resilience through excellence in quality and sustainable practices need to be rewarded,”she said.
“This scholarship will assist Schulz Organic Dairy with new learnings from a visit to New Zealand’s burgeoning dairy industry.”
