CAMPERDOWN’s Rotary Club will be busy next month, with a highway clean-up and a twilight market happening.

The ‘Adopt a Highway’ clean-up will happen on the western side of Camperdown, beginning at 5.30pm on Monday, March 6.

Bags and gloves will be provided.

Collaborating with the Keep Australia Beautiful Council, the Rotary Club will provide a barbeque at 7pm at the Playspace.

Club secretary Graeme Fischer said that adults are welcome to join them in cleaning up the highway.

“We’ll just meet at 296 Manifold Street at 6.00pm that day, and then we’ll have a barbeque afterwards,” he said.

“Members of the public have come along in the past, and we just clean up the west end of town.”

Also coming up is the twilight market under the Elms in Manifold Street on Friday, March 10.

The market will run from 12pm to 8pm, and will feature a variety of stalls.

The twilight market will be in addition to the regular market, which will be held on Sunday, March 5 and run from 8am to 1pm.

“All the normal stalls will be there, as well as those that normally can’t make it to the first Sunday of every month,” Mr Fischer said.

“There’ll be some food stalls, and there’ll be a few other things.

“The previous markets we’ve had over 20 stalls, so we’d expect it to be similar turnout.”
