Busy week for athletes
FRIDAY at the Camperdown College Sports Precinct Track, was all about giving our 27 athletes representing us at the Western Country Region Track and Field Carnival a great hit out, while helping all of our 100 athletes present, achieve personal bests at their events, and to also consolidate what they have learnt throughout the season.
Athletes were coached in Shot Put, Javelin, Discus and Track, with many personal bests achieved.
The night moved quickly and the weather was kind with mild conditions for all.
The centre and committee was thankful for the parent and age group helpers who supported the night to run so efficiently.
The night concluded with a 1500mtr run and ZooperDoopers.

On the weekend just passed, 27 athletes, Committee, and rostered helpers, all attended Llanberris Oval in Ballarat along with approximately 250 Athletes from around the region who competed in 100 plus events.
Over the two days, in extreme heat, our athletes all did their best, made new friends and some athletes were even lucky enough to come home with a medal.
Our parent helpers learnt new skills, supported other centre representatives and helped to chief and assist a wide range of events.
Weekends like these cannot run for our kids without centre and parent support. Feedback that we have received this morning, is that our helpers were all efficient, kind and completed their duties well.

Our centre is extremely proud of every athlete who represents us at all events, their determination to do their best, be polite to all helpers and officials and to show their pride in our centre is something Camperdown Little Athletics is well known for.

We have only two weeks of centre-based competition left until the 2023-2024 season comes to an end.
