CAMPERDOWN and district residents paid their respects to soldiers in a variety of ways over the weekend.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, the traditional Anzac Day service was unable to be held.

Camperdown Returned and Services League (RSL) sub-branch president Alan Fleming said locals were still able to get involved in the annual appeal with a digital fundraising campaign launched ahead of Anzac Day.

“It was a completely different Anzac Day, however it is heartening to hear reports of families standing in their driveway at 6am and to see many posts on social media sharing their experience,” he said.
