The session was taken by coach Krystal before athletes were given their Comm Bank name patches.

All athletes had their second try at hurdles and some attempted high jump, javelin, shotput, discus and jumps.

Overall it was a fantastic night weather wise and athletes gained lots of personal best results - there was happy faces and lots of new learning.

Last Friday a new trialling athlete was welcomed; there is still time to register as a trialling or new athlete, however there is only have two weeks left before the Christmas break.

The centre will return after the break in early February.

This week we welcome LAVic Regional Development Officer Kelly to the centre.

She will be visiting to look at how the centre runs and give hints and tips on how to make it better for athletes.

In two weeks’ there will be a Christmas themed night, please note there will be no uniform requirements for this night it will be a fun evening for families.

There will be spot prizes for best dressed on the night, so get your thinking caps on!

A reminder for parents that regional track and field entries open on or around December 15 and close prior to the return to the track.

If you wish for your child/children to take part (held in Ballarat on Feb 10/11) please be mindful to place your entries early it is expected that entries will close about January 22.

There is a cost per entry which will be confirmed by LAVic closer to entries opening.

Mark your diaries - aths returns after the Xmas break on February 2.

The second half of the season is jam packed and we can’t wait to see what our amazing athletes can do in the second half of our season.

The CLAC committee would like to thank all parents who have helped throughout the season at events, even the smallest or shortest session of helping, makes a huge difference to how our nights run.

Without your support our nights would be much harder and definitely much longer.

The committee would also like to thank Western District News for their coverage each week, it is great to see our kids highlighted each week in such a positive and wide reaching way.

We will again offer a limited canteen with ZooperDoopers and drinks.

This week is the Light Up Camperdown Festival and as there will be many local food providers down the street for this incredible local event, we would love to see our families support those stall holders instead!

We hope that we can be finished early to give everyone the chance to check out the festivities.
