DURING March and April Camperdown Lions club members have been busy with both community service activities and fundraising.

DURING March and April Camperdown Lions club members have been busy with both community service activities and fundraising.
Two members have been making egg and bacon rolls available early each Tuesday at the saleyards, for patrons and agents.
Driver Reviver was held on the Friday of the Labour Day weekend to encourage drivers to take a break on their journey.
Eye testing has been conducted at St Patrick’s Primary School and Mercy Regional College Noorat Campus, catching up on sessions missed during the past two years.
More testing is planned during the next school term.
Members delivered the green FOGO bag rolls to 954 households, kindly offered to organisations as a fundraiser by Corangamite Shire.
Our annual smoke alarm battery change, for those unable to climb ladders has taken place, changing batteries and checking detectors are working, in over 80 Camperdown homes.
Club members catered for packed lunches at the Theatre Royal for 160 patrons during the recent visit to the area by the Austin 7 Car Club.
Attendees, from throughout Australia, then spent time checking out the various Camperdown attractions, before returning to their base in Warrnambool.
Members assisted with collection of tins from businesses and counting of donation tins on Good Friday for another successful Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.
The club’s usual commitment to the RSL continued, with helping to man ANZAC badge sales, cooking breakfast and providing the morning tea/lunch on ANZAC Day.
This was followed two days later with the club’s second Community Meal for 2022, providing a hearty two-course meal for all attending.
Regular cleaning of the town’s heritage signs, roadside clean-up and the club’s cemetery garden tidy continue throughout the year.
