Last Friday was week seven of the 2022/23 season, and what a fantastic night with perfect weather.
It was our first championship night, and there were some brilliant results from all age groups.
It was great to see the kids doing their best, having fun and achieving some amazing personal bests.
The centre would like to give particular congratulations to Aiden Conheady who gained a 10cm PB in his high jump and only narrowly missed the overage record by 2cm.
It was great to see many of our athletes staying back to watch his fantastic jumping and to cheer him on.

Thank you again to all of our parents and to our volunteer assistants who freely give up their time each week to help support our young athletes.
As part of our Coles community round, we were given vouchers to be handed out during the night, one per age group was awarded and a special president award was also awarded.
The president’s award was awarded to Darcy.
Darcy has helped with set up every week and is great athlete who shows great respect and leadership.
Although we have many athletes who help on a regular basis, Darcy is a new athlete to our club and instantly offered support with set up and to hell where needed.
We felt that the president’s award was a great way to thank him for his efforts and the committee look forward to him being a member of a club for many years to come.
Next week we ask that all age group award winners assemble during the weekly talk, prior to the start of events for a group photo.
Relay team members who are attending the regional championships in Stawell on Sunday, December 4, will have a practice run at the completion of Friday night, there will also be a little more information about the event so we would like you to be available if possible.
Have a great weekend everyone, we look forward to seeing you back at the track on Friday night at 4:15pm.
