Car collides with tree

POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding an alleged single vehicle incident.

The incident occurred at approximately 12.30pm on Monday afternoon.

A silver Holden sedan appears to have been travelling south east on the Princes Highway towards Colac, just outside Camperdown, when the vehicle came off the left side of the road and collided with a tree before coming to rest in the embankment.

Police and Country Fire Authority responded to the incident, with no injuries reported.

Camperdown Police senior constable Sam Alexander said police were still investigating the circumstances which led to the vehicle leaving the road.

“The investigation is ongoing but it appears to be a single vehicle incident,” he said.

“There was one occupant in the vehicle.

“There were no injuries reported.”
