The Cats headed to Jetty Flat Reserve for the two-day, round 14 match and put on a great display with bat and ball.

Winning the toss and electing to bat on Saturday, the Cats reached 10/221 after 78 overs.

Opener Corey Rounds top scored with 61 from 87 deliveries, which included eight boundaries, while Jack Lehmann contributed a handy 57 and captain Todd Lamont 55.

In reply, Russell Creek was contained to just 10/116 in the 44th over, with Lehmann also proving a strong force with the ball, taking 5/32 from his 12 overs.

A second innings at the crease proved less fruitful for the Cats, with just 132 runs scored from 33 overs.

An unbeaten 45 from Brendan Gherashe and 30 from youngster Josh Slater were the highlights of the Cats’ innings.
