Championship final round this weekend

THE final round of the Timboon Golf Club championship will be played this weekend.

Saturday will see the fourth and final round played.

Members played stroke for the second and third rounds last Saturday and Sunday.

In the Saturday daily competition, division one was won by Chris Huffadine with nett 68 from Phillip Brown 69 and Jeff Costin 70.

Division two was won by Franny Togni with nett 72 from Gordon Broderick 73 and Mick Plozza 74.

Nearest the pins: 5th Barry Cook, 7th Darryle Beames, 10th Gavin Rundle and 14th Andrew Gant.

The Nutrien ball on the 11th went to Darren Smith while Franny Togni took the South West Car Care ball on the 13th.

The monthly medals on Sunday were won by Wes Hollick with nett 70 and Percy Gillin nett 75.

Sunday’s best gross scores were Wes Hollick (6) 76, Alistair Gillin (+1) 76, Phillip Brown (4) 78, Geoff Norton (10) 83, Peter Cashmore (3) 83 and Chris Huffadine (11) 85.

Nearest the pins: 5th Wes Hollick, 7th Jack Rowe, 10th Rodney Edge and 14th Wes Hollick.

The Nutrien ball on the 11th was won by Richard Stone.

On Thursday, the 12-holes Kazza’s Railway View Hotel chicken day was won by Andrew Gant with 28 points from Kevin Plozza with 25.

Nearest the pin was Bill Finlayson.
