Change of guard for Rotary
CAMPERDOWN Rotary Club enjoyed a changing of the guard last week, with the annual changeover dinner held.

CAMPERDOWN Rotary Club enjoyed a changing of the guard last week, with the annual changeover dinner held.
Members were supported by adjoining Rotary clubs from Cobden, Colac and Terang, along with two members of the Camperdown Lions Club.
Immediate past president Hema Ratnayake took the opportunity to highlight even with lockdowns over the last year, the club took every opportunity to serve the community.
Programs included the monthly market, clean-up the highway program, delivering compost caddy liners, the Community Fun Day and the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the nine groups who supported the community during the COVID outbreaks.
Camperdown Rotary Club also participated in Rotary’s Defying the Drift by supporting Derrinallum Secondary School students to participate in the program.
District Governor elect Kathy Rivett inducted James Carter as president of the club for the 2022/23 year.
Mr Carter thanked club members for entrusting the leadership of the club to him for the coming year.
The club also took the opportunity to recognise Michele Smith with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition for her contribution to Rotary’s End Trachoma Project by transporting the Rotary district’s hygiene kits to the Northern Territory through her company Future Freight.
