Geelong’s Street Rodders visited Camperdown on invite from a locally-based friend to Laurie, look at his collection of vintage cars.
Forty members of the club made the trip from Geelong, bringing with them 17 club cars, including a 1933 Chevrolet coupe and a 1950s police car.
Previous president Adrian Cooper said the group enjoyed the opportunity to talk about vintage cars.
“It was a nice day for a drive down from Geelong,” he said.
“Some of the club guys know Laurie and talked him into having us come down and have a look at his collection.
“It’s not open to the public generally; you’ve got to have an invite.”
The group then had a barbecue at their host’s home.
