Club unveils new kitchen
THE Timboon Bowling Club officially unveiled its newly renovated kitchen during the Ladies Day Event recently.
Those present at the launch not only had the opportunity to see the renovated facilities, but also experienced the community's enthusiasm for the new chapter in the club's history.
The much-anticipated upgrade, made possible by a donation of $37,800 from Beach Energy, has enhanced the Timboon Bowling Club’s role as a vibrant social hub for the tight-knit Timboon community.
Friday nights at the Timboon Bowling Club have fast become a weekly highlight, with dinners bringing community members together to connect and socialise.
Beach Energy's community manager Sharon Donovan said Beach remained committed to the community’s wellbeing.
“By supporting community projects such as the Timboon Bowling Club’s new kitchen, Beach is helping to foster social connections within the community,” she said.
Timboon Bowling Club president Lorelle Saunders expressed gratitude for the kitchen upgrade, acknowledging it would not have been possible without the support from Beach Energy.
Club secretary Barry Bowen extended an open invitation to all residents to participate in the summer social competition starting January 22, 2024 over five weeks to experience the new facilities.
“No prior bowling experience is necessary, as the club is more than happy to provide equipment for those eager to join in the fun,” he said.
“All that's required is a pair of flat shoes.
“We welcome everyone in the town to take up the opportunity to be a part of the exciting future plans with the Bowling Club.”
